This is really beautiful. Maternal grandmothers are the most special and I also believe it's because, for a short time, we lived in their body (our mother's eggs when she was in her mother's womb). There's an unmistakable connection.

My Grandmother passed when I was 14 and she lived in Northern California. Palm trees always remind me of her, and she always had the best tan. I kept every single letter she ever sent me. In one of them she describes how she visited Napa Valley: "Great place to go if you like to drink wine, but I just sat and drank my coke (much to everyone's disgust)." You do you, Grandma!

Thank you for sharing your Grandma with us. I would've like to hang out with her too.
