Hugs to you dealing with the passing of your Dad. Now with my Dad moving to long term care, I feel relief that there are more people to help care for him and yet sadness and not being able to see him in those rare moments of joy. But I am glad to know he is safe and I can now focus on myself and working on goals for 2024. xo
Thanks, Waheeda. I remember feeling the same way when my dad went into longterm care. I felt both a sense of relief knowing that he'd be safe but also mourned his loss of independence. FWIW, my dad enjoyed the social aspect of his care home, so I hope your Dad does too. Sending hugs! xo
After 4 or 5 previous appearances at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, I had my most financially successful event in July 2023. I do t make art to make money, but it is gratifying to know that some people loved what I made enough to spend their hard earned money to have it in their home. And I’ve retired from my “day job” and I’m working on making art my full time thing.
